About Universal Board Games
Universal Board Games is a partnership run by Vicky Whyte and Mem Mehmet since 2001. Between us we have over 30 years experience of working with young people and their families in Adventure Playgrounds, Youth Clubs, Activity Centres and Schools. We are both aware that young people have strong views on many issues and we use all our experience to work with them and help them express themselves in fun, creative and innovative ways.
Vicky has a trained in Fine Art (BA hons) and run years of artistic projects with young people encouraging them to express themselves. Vicky has an up to date first aid certificate and is CRB checked.
Mem has trained in Sports Science (BA hons) and is a lifelong chess player. Mem has an up to date first aid certificate and is CRB checked.
Both Mem and Vicky practice Wei Hai Lishi Quanfa a traditional system of Chinese Movement and have both travelled the world collecting and playing new and traditional games.
A really important part of the success of the project is the enthusiasm of Mem and Vicky from UBGRhiannon Crackett, Hackney Museum Games Club.
